How can i get my tank up and running right for discus?
what do gotta do cause i wanna make suer its perfect fro obvious reasons. Cause it wouldn't be fun buying a pair then them dying ;) so if anyone knows please tell me

I've never setup a discus tank, but I can make a short list of different requirements.

•Use R/O water with Kent Right to achieve the desired soft water.

•Temperature must be high, at least 84° or so.

•*Ph should be slightly acidic. I'd aim for 6.5-6.9.

•Do frequent water changes.

•You'll need a nice, adequate sized tank for discus. Discus prefer groups of 4 or more.

•You'll want a good filtration system.

*As for the ph you'll want it to match as best as possible with the tank that your discus come from.

Here's a beginner's page to discus that I found with a quick search. http://members.aol.com/bgdiscus/ I wouldn't purchase any discus until you have everything just right including a completed cycling process.
