What Is Squared Off?

Sorry to hear they've all gone. Maybe one or two managed to hide in the main tank before you'd transferred the others into the main tank. My first one was about 3 weeks old when I first saw it so it is possible to miss them for quite a while. Next time she gives birth try leaving her in the main tank if it's now planted up well and see how they fare on their own. Better to lose a few to her natural instinct to eat them and the strongest and fastest will find somewhere to hide - it's natural for them to do so. All may not be lost, but if they are, try not to take it to heart - there's always next time!

Can't believe my babies are a week old!! How time flies! The light colored mollies i have now discovered are marbled Mollies, and i have a few black mollies with a few light spots on them. pic to follow soon!

Looking forward to seeing them!

I counted 9 mollies in this pic. Some of them are the light colored marbled mollies and are a bit harder to spot. I circled them to make it easier.

Nice one Linda! How on earth did you get the photo into the posting box? I could only manage a link to Photobucket and it's such a faff for people to do and I'd love to know how to do it the way you have!

I have a platy that I think its pregnant, Its exactly like the platy from the beginning of the post. It looks squared off and has the white dot. It feels like ive been waiting for ages, and sometimes i get to the point where i think shes not actually pregnant. I can see dark dots which I read are the eyes. I would post a picture but I really dont know how I upload one to the post? Lol.

If you find out let me know cos I've been asking how to post pictures for ages! lol

when you are typing in the box to post a comment... look on the row of  buttons that has the bold italic and underline and strike thru... you should see a square box with a tree in it. click the box. the picture you are going to post must be a url link. so post the pic like on FB and then right click on the pic and select copy picture url. then come to this box and click on the tree pic i mentioned earlier... and paste the url link and hit enter or post whichever it is... then the pic will show up in this box!

Thanks Linda I'll give that a try.  Hadn't realised it had to be a URL and was trying to copy and paste. Doh!

Oh my goodness I did it!!! Woohoo!!! Thanks Linda!

NP!!! My second molly is starting to square off a bit so i think i will be getting more soon. I plan on putting them in with the other fry... but it's only a ten gallon tank. So i'm not sure what to do. I guess they can live in the ten till i sell them.

We can only work with the equipment to hand at times and if a 10L is all you've got then it will have to do - altho it may mean more frequent partial water changes to keep the quality safe. Keep us informed how she's getting on!

Now all I've got to do is fathom out why I can't add this to my signature! lol
My 15G tank

no no... it's a 10 gal not a 10 L

adding a pic to your signature is done on your profile page.

Sorry that was a typo on my part, I meant 10 G
I've tried on the profile page and it keeps saying I'm only allowed 5 lines every time I try!
Never mind - I've cracked the post pictures with your help so I'm happy! lol

Here is just a short video of my unassisted platy fry survivors. I even managed by accident to trasfer one to my shrimp tan it seems as I can't explain the presence of it there. I suppose I scooped it up with the floating plants although I carried them by hand. If you give your tank a lot of cover, you'll soon regret it :) Please excuse the algae I am dealing with for the last 6 months
