METHYLENE BLUE is effective for the control of superficial fungal and bacterial infections of freshwater and marine fishes. As a secondary use, it is effective against various external protozoans, including ichthyophthirius, Chilodonella, Ichthyobodo (Costia) and Epistylis. METHYLENE BLUE is also useful for the treatment of known nitrite and/or cyanide poisoning of aquarium fishes. This drug aids in the transport of oxygen and converts abnormal methemoglobin back to normal oxygen carrying component, hemoglobin.

Yeah, I thought it was some type of fungiside but I am wondering how much I need to add to a tank with sick fish. Right now I have a betta with mouth fungus and I happen to have methylene blue. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks

mostly it is 5 drops per 20litre then 3drops the next day the on the 3rd day 1drop.. but that is the stuf i use

Woah meth blue knocks out your filter bacteria guys! watch out + dyes tubes/decor blue!

It'll also affect your plants. All in all it's a very strong medication and should be used very very carefully.
