What Has Happened To The Profile Feed?

But why keep it disabled when there's no proof that it will happen again?

Reason being that profile feed updates are not as easily policed (in simple terms) as posts are in the main forum.

So information that is posted that does not conform with the forum rules can go unnoticed. We the mods can not check every profile regularly to make sure the profile feeds arnt breaking the rules, its just not possible. Therefore the decision was taken to disable the function.

• Yes, the profile feed has been locked.
• Will it ever be put in use again? Maybe... but not any time soon.
• Why? Because it isn't possible to moderate what is being said in it and a few individuals decided to take advantage of that and until there is a way around that, its not worth unlocking the profile feed. That asides, so few people actually use it, this is an aquatics forum and not facebook, we do havethe general chat section for people to talk about things that are less fish orientated.
