I went into a local LFS yesterday and they had 4 females in,these 4 fish have been in for about 5 weeks now and are floating in small Jam jars

A pet store near me sells females, but they sell out faster than the males. They are all kept in a 2G tank together, about 5 of them.

Ya, my lfs always has males in stock. They get females every Tuesday, but they keep like 20 in a 12 gallon. Then they sell out fast.

1 pets@home FS has hardly any bettas in but 10mins down road at the barn they are brilliant know there stuff very clean and tidy healthy fish never crowded plus they always have male bettas mainly reds and blues but went last week they had tank of females plus they can order female gouramis in if ya need 1 so although ya dont see many im sure if ya ask the LFS if they any good they should b able to order one in for ya.
