What Fish Should I Get?

Go with real, fake are a lot more expensive, look a bit naff and you'll probably want to change to real eventually too.

That tank's got some spangly lighting, not sure exactly what wattage it is (you'll have to see when you get it). Generally easy plants are moss, crypts, anubias, java fern, hygro and swords- all will grow without anything special. I use Plants Alive mostly, they're one of the cheapest retailers. Some people use Ebay but there have been mixed results. Pets at Home are good for Tropica plants, which tend to be bigger and nicer than most other sources.

Im fairly new to fish keeping to and dont know alot about fish but just wanted to share my experience!

My tank has been up and running for around a month now and i started off with 6 neon tetras and 4 guppies, i then added a couple of mollies. Unfortunately as is the case with alot of newbies, i got a bit carried away and added too many fish too soon so had a few problems and lost my mollies :(

However, my neons and guppies are happy as larry and i have had no problems at all! My guppies are all males btw.

Good Luck and dont be put off by any teething problems you may have!! :)

That heater should be fine for a 60 litre aquarium. I would also go with real, they will be more beneficial and look a lot more attractive. However some plastic plants do look very realistic. Especially when they get a bit of algae on them.

Amazon sword, elodia are good starter plants.

I wouldn't buy plants off eBay, its very hit and miss with quality as you can't see the plants first hand to judge how they look. Anyone can spot an unhealthy plant.

Okay thanks! , Ill have a look around and see what i can get my hands onto, Ill probable have more questions soon! lol
