What Filter Media Is This?

I got my FX5 second hand and it has this media in it, but I am not sure on what some of it is. The bottom is ceramic rings, which is fine - I have actually changed some of it for new biomax and also put a sleeve of crushed coral in here to bring my pH up. (Is this the right basket for the coral - it seemed to make the most sense?).

The top basket is obvisouly for mechanical media, so I am not too concerned about what is in there, just seems to be some type of gravel, but the middle basket I have no idea what it is..... can anyone shed some light on what it is for me please and if it is suitable or not for my mbuna tank. The pebbly looking stuff in the first picture looks like Seachem matrix to me. The tubes in the last couple of pictures look like Effimech but I may be mistaken.

it looks like Ceramisub Bio Media made by aqua one

The second picture shows lava rock, (its the stuff used in biorbs) and is a good choice of bio-media
