..had read another topic about what equipment people have and thought about what I have in my cupboard that I use in this hobby but wouldnt be considered normal.

In my cupboard (and well worth having):

Pot of vaseline (petrolium jelly) - for use on silicon o-rings of external filter when performing filter maintainance.

large tea strainer - For removing fine floating leaves after trimming live plants

Wide reel of clingfilm - To put large wet objects from tank on when doing big gravel vacs - Havent the storage space for a tray.

What do you have in your cabinet/cupboard?

a clean pair of tights to cover my one of my filters as one of my bettas get so close to it his tail gets sucked in!!
latex gloves to wear while cleaning the fiters!!

A little while ago decided to store some meds so that I would have them in case of an emergency, so now keep Aquarium Salt, Anti-Bacterial (interpet) and Melafix, as standby meds. If anyone can suggest any others be appreciated...

Also keep dechlorinator and the filters..plus as much junk as I can fit in the cupboards.

** sorry, didnt read the 'not normal' bit....Nothing exciting here

I have all the rubber bands from all the bags of fish I've bought. For some reason they don't make it to the garbage and I just throw them in there. Probably because I sit and watch the tank for an hour and stare at my new family! :D

A roll of sandwich bags, for when I have to switch fish around :D
Chopsticks, that I use to spear cucumber on for the fishies, and
my phone charger... because theres also several plug sockets O_O

a 1kg bag of bright pink gravel, a bag 1kg bag of large white stones, fragile stickers [for posting fish], cardboard boxes [same as previous], and big roll of skellotape [have a guess why :p] oh, and how random is this, a 49p box of oxygenating tables xD

-A small trove of heater, filters, plastic plants and filter-wool that I got from a liquidation sale held by a bankrupt big-box chain of pet stores in BC. They were only a couple bucks each but I'll probably never use them.
-Nylons for the filter intakes
-Strainers for washing gravel & pouring my tnakwater through them when I pour it down the bathtub.
-A hoard of buckets from bulk food shipments we gat at the deli I work at.
-Deli salad containers for packaging floating plants.

You did say cupboard didn't you......

Erm.

20 year old boxes of ceramic rings and filter foams.

Clingfilm

Not much of interest, to be honest.

Rezz - Chopsticks! Genius - never thought of that - dont they float tho? (made of wood)

Yes BigC... We know about that "cupboard of life"... Do your eyes steam up when you open the door? Must read your logbook thingy and follow it up. Was a good read when I first looked.

A fair few of those seem rather sensible to me...

..theres gotta be some weird stuff in someones cupboards... The cat litter and brid food kinda made rough sense..
