What Do You Do With Dead Fish?

broke my heart when i flushed a dead Turk discus down the loo i was only five :(

, i just read this whole thread. Very funny!

anyhoo, what i do is, throw the dead fish in the bin or toilet. Or if its a betta then i bury it.

I think its because i fine bettas more special, as they have there own personalities. :good:

I normally flush, but a fully grown nile puffer wouldnt fit no matter how much you try, as i found out!!!!!!

"cossie333" u tell em mate, they talking trash!
you have 2 options here really, burry them or flush them away down the toilet.
if there big fish bury them...if there like guppies or something like that just flush the dead fish away.
(i had a large eel which was too big to flush so it was buried)
"never flush" what crap!
if we cant flush a dead fish incase it contaminates our waterways...does that mean we have to freezer bag and bury our #105###e aswell just in-case that contaminates our waterways.

some people! lol

HAHAHA YOU TIT!

all my dead fish take a trip on the porcelain expressway. and youd be surprised at how big a fish can go down the old u bend. if an 8 inch rotkeil can go down the loo then most fish can. and before anybody says how could i flush such a lovely fish, lets all get a grip IT WAS DEAD!! yes i was gutted it was dead but would i have been less-so if id buried it ? errrm no.

Straight into the trash can. It's like 2 feet away from the tank...so yea! I used to flush them, but I had one come back up into my toilet (didn't flush right) and scared the bejesus out of my friend  and that I don't want to walk all the way to the other side of the house just to flush and waste water.

All the fish that die with me usually are too big to head of to mr brown's swimming pool, so they get frozen until bin day, then i usally get out just as bin people arrive,sorted...placed in a sweet tin, last one was the 19inch plec in a quality street tin, quality :good:

When i kept smaller varietys the just went in a tin in the bin

i flush fish, trash snails mysteries and nitrates i worry that they will screw up the plumbing.

I have to say I am quite surprised that some people EAT their dead fish, or were they just jokes? Sorry if I'm a little slow today  my normal IQ is 144 :D

Sometimes we flush sometimes I put them in the trash. As dumb as it sounds flushing makes me feel guilty but putting them in the trash doesn't. My kids like to flush them so if they are home they get flushed. If it's just me they get put in the bin.

My cousin has a pet crematorium and someone once had a goldfish cremated. I believe he charged 30 quid to do it.
