What are your preferances??

Thanks in advance for any replies!!!!!

i dont think hes a MG but he is an awsome fish. and im not sure exactly wat a halfmoon is so, sry i can be more of a help

Depending on where you are, halfmoons are rare. Places that specialize in bettas will have some, of course. But they are rare in my podunk little town.

It also seems that they are rare, genetically speaking. Apparently the halfmoon gene is not dominant at all, and you might not get any HM spawn when breeding two HM's. http://www.bettatalk.com/betta_finnage.htm

hey guyz thanks for ur replies, im so happy u guyz think my betta is cooollllll!!!!!!
Thanks

well hes not quite a halfmoon-more of a super delta.
as for rare-i think there would have to be others like him, a certain strain for him to be considered rare. he certainly has a unique color combination going on.
where did you get him?

A true HM is very rare. So rare that the IBC has 'discontinued' deltas, and now all deltas are just considered faulty hm's :/

I have a whole tank full of faulty hm's :X

i would feel kind of silly and popmpous saying "faulty halfmoon" :(
it makes it sound like being a delta is a bad thing :(

I know :( I'm kinda shocked myself. First the veiltail wasn't good enough for competitions and now...the delta too

I still call mine deltas though :p
