What do u like and dont like about fish keeping

 You never told yours!

Like~ they're realaxing and undemanding pets, as compared to the dog and rabbit who follow me from room to room demanding either attention or food. They're a great educational tool for young ones. Just yesterday my daughter was in the store barking like a dog and I told her to hush...she said "I can't, it's my natural habitat" Ok...she doesn't understand all the lingo but at least shes listening ;)

Dislike~ I always find one that I just HAVE to have...but it's incompatible so I have to get another tank :grr:

I like watching my fish interact and watching my fish eat.

I don't like that some fish can't be gotten (If anyone knows where I can find a southern red bellied dace or mountain RBD I would be much obliged) and I don't ike how expensive it all is (I so wanted to have a SW tank but dont have the $$)

Like: watching them, feeding them, having a photoshoot

Dislike: seeing adults eat the fry  , worrying if the sick ones will make it or not, trying to look for a fish that has died but is missing

Like: watching them, feeding them, gotta love doing water changes - very relaxing after a stressful day, getting new fish

Dislike: when fish die/get bullied around by other fish, people deciding I HAVE to have fish I can't care for and trying to push me into buying them (eg: Oscars), getting a mouthful of tank water when using the siphon ;)

i love watching my corys play it so funny :rofl:and i really grew up with fish since i was 5 because my brother and dad are alurgic to cat/dog hair and crap. and when i fell left down i jus stare at my corys and it makes me feel a whole lot better

I love watching & feeding them esp when its treat time and I feed them brine shimp and worms!

I dislike weekly cleaning- those buckets are heavy.!

I like it when they rush up to the front of the tank to greet me when I get home from work :D

And I like it when they nibble on my arms when I'm fiddling with the plants, decor, etc.

I hate it when they get sick :(

Same here. I love when they say hi :) ,but hate when they get sick :(

Likes...Stuffing my entire house full of new tanks and new fish I want to give a go at keeping and maybe breeding, the beauty of their colors, the clarity of the water and the plants, how they beg for food, new babies.

Dislikes...Finding dead ones, treating diseases that end up killing the fish, watching them deteriorate in front of my eyes, big fish eating little fish, and those darn heavy buckets and dead snails.

:D I love to watch my fish! It's very comforting and I enjoy it a lot!

:( The worst part is losing a fish because it breaks my heart! It's hard not to get attach to them as each fish has their own personatly!

I don't mind water changes, gives me a chance for a little more interaction with the fish, plus those buckets are a free workout. The best has to be at the end of a busy day, kicking back and watching the fish enjoy themselves.

The worst is self created, that being my nervousness in the spring, and during the winter, about power outages. Second worst is that 210 gallon tank just inside the lfs that keeps calling my name, even though I don't have the room, funds, or a good explaination for my wife as to why I should get it.

I like watching my fish and the ones in the lfs - i could spend years in there.

I don't like my plants which refuse to grow and are expensive :p . I also dislike lugging buckets of water up and down two flights of stairs every weekend :flex: . Actually its probably quite good exercise considering how weedy i am.
