I have a pair in this tank, as the pond snails started going crazy.. they have been in the tank for a while…
They are almost never on the glass.. today I thought I was going to witness an assasination.. but it turned away… upon closer inspection, there appears to be a brown stripe, and slightly different shape to the small snail… could this be a baby assassin??? 3rd picture, I’m sure is a pond small, 2nd picture is the baby snail in question

Baby assassins look like miniature adults.

I regularly bring a couple of bags with a baker's dozen assassin snails in each for the auction. This was my first tank with assassins, it started with about 15 snails acquired in two batches about a decade ago. I now have them in at least 10 tanks.

When they are born the babies head down into the substrate which helps to protect them from predation until they can gain some size.

So Now I probably have 2 kinds of pest snail’s in that tank:confused:

In your first picture there are 3 snails on the glass in a diagonal row from upper left to lower right. The snail on the lower right closest to the fish is clearly an Assassin.

An assassin has the brown and white striping, it has two antennae and then what looks like a tiny trunk. But, you need more than one to reproduce. The pic below is not mine:

Baby assassins look exactly like their parents from the very start...
The other snails you've posted pics from are a real pests.
