What Dither With Discus?

Was gonna lay away from the neon tetra as they're more delicate I hear

Neons would not do well in the longterm with temps that discus need and Here in the U.S. the neons found are often poor stock.
Cardinals or rummy nose would be my choice.

They would be my choice as well. But neither are available to me.

I have glo lites in with my Discus and they are just fine.

You will want to get rid of those penguins ASAP they are nasty fish with Discus and will soon start nipping your Discus, I found this out really quickly.

I don't think you could go wrong with any of these fish with your discus:

Neon Tetras
Cardinal Tetras
Glowlite Tetras
Rummynose Tetras

Good Luck
bugsy

the neons may well become lunch when the discus get bigger..... and are out of their temp range  they will have shorter lives or be eaten im affraid!

maybe waiting or ordering stock could have been a better option

If the neons become a meal then so be it but the discus are only juvi's and are growing up with them. I am eventually going to get cardinals and the temp is now a little lower considering my discus used to handle around 28ish quite well.
