ok, i'm currently cultivating a supply of white worms for me newts and are well aware that my community fish tank will love them. But I was wondering, would it be good to give my community tank an occasional feed of wax worms or meal worms?

For reference, the tank currently has in it:

Pearl Gouramis
blood fin tetras
black neon tetras
a single living kitty tetra left ( :( i like those guys )
black skirted tetras
golden chinese loach
khuli loaches
a plec: i'm relative certain that he is a Sailfin Plec, except for one thing: his size. in the year that I have had him, he grew from 5" to 6" and thats been it... the original owner claims to have had him for over a year before that.)

would they also be suitable for Kribs?

I cultivate my own mealworms and feed them to my African Butterfly fish and Bichirs and they love them! My Spiny Raphael cat also prefers mealworms to freeze dried foods, also whenever i throw a small enough mealworm in there my angels go crazy for them too. I read in many places that they have a high level of chitin but thats not the only thing in their diet. I dont think its bad for them but I dont recommend it being the only thing you feed.

I can certainly say it would not be staple diet: the odd treat only. We newts, gecko and frogs eat them but invariably to give them a mixed diet there is a lot going: we supply our neighbour for her newts half these days. Thought it would be good to give treats though :)
