I think you should set a native tank up. Downside would be a lack of colour, but I can imagine a few carp in to be fantastic. You could also add the likes of Bream, Roach, Tench & Perch. Some people might disagree with keeping the carp and bream in, but I think it would be fine. You could even get crucial carp and silver bream instead as they stay small.
