i have had a 63 litre (13.8 g) cycling for 6 weeks now and i have got everything in place and i relly want some afican chichlids .and i was worrying what type should i get for it as good starter fish. :good:  :shout:

As far as easy cichlids go for a tank that size you're pretty limited. I'd recommend a nice pair of kribensis, you could pretty easily breed them as well I would think.

thank you but would those be ok with afican peacock cichlid  cause they look relly nice

No you cannt not put a peacock in a 12.8g. Here are about all your option's for you small tnak:
a nice pair of kribensis( my female is my avatar!)
several multi's

That is about it.

Actually you could put a pair of any Dwarf Cichlid, Kribensis, Nannocara, Apistogrammas etc. Some will only be happy in a pair some in a trio.

As none-dwarf Cichlids tend to be big, active, aggressive fish a 12.8 gal tank is too small for them. Like keeping a Great Dane in a kennel for a Jack Russell...

there isnt very much so i might aswell just do a difernt type of fish and get a bigger fish tank like 20 g or moreso hey would i be able to then get a afican peacock cichlid :good:

No 20 gallons doesn't really give you much more for options other than shellies or dwarf pike cichlids. Peacocks would need at least a 55 gallon

The cichlids of Lake Malawi (haps, mbuna, & peacocks) need a minimum 4-ft tank, and many of the hap species need a 6-ft or more. :good:

As I said in my last post, you'll need a minimum 4-ft tank for any Lake Malawi cichlid. :good:
