What Canister Brands Do You Reccomend As The Best Quality?

I wouldnt touch anything other than Eheim, worth every penny. Been keeping fish for 15+ years and in all that time ive never had an Eheim Filter fail on me. Imo thats damn good going. I did have a Fluval internal filter and that lasted 9months before the impeller blades cracked...at which point it got replaced with an Eheim Powerball.

Yes they are more expensive, but then you pay for what you get, solid built kit that lasts. If you cant afford Eheim kit fine, by all means by Terratec or one of the other brands.

This thread is becoming more like 3 children comparing penis sizes. "mine is bigger", "mine is more expensive" come on guys grow up. T1karmann id have expected better from you tbh, dont know the other 2 kids but try act your age and not your shoe size!

Lets try get this back on track, which was what everyones "PERSONAL" opinion of the best filters are.

ok this topics got out of hand i own a tetra tec 1200 and i have to say its a fantastic bit of kit cant complain but it is only a year old for now, but who is to say it wont last another 20 years certainly not me!

but good as it is im afraid it just doesnt do as good a job as an eheim even half its size i have an eheim classic running on a similar sized tank and it keeps the water better than the tetra tec maybe its the media maybe not but both are excellent filters and both are certainly better than fluval. but eheim are the business when it comes to filtration

As funny as some of this thread is i have to shut it down as its gone so far off topic i had to go back to the first page to remind myself what it started about
