Hey Everyone,
It has been awhile since I have posted on here...but I am looking to get some new fish or a single fish to put in my 10-Gallon tank. What fish(es), according to size, would be appropriate for such a tank? I used to have a Betta Sorority, but I am not doing that again! I am left with only one female Betta now! They're just brutal to each other! Anyways, I was looking at Cichlids, but some people seem to think they need a bigger tank? Suggestions would be grand! :)

I would agree that cichlids are to big for a 10 gallon. How about platys, guppies, tetras, or rasboras?

10G would be fine for any Apistos, agreed with the cacatuoides.

WOW! I just wondered what the apistogramma cacatuoides was so I looked it up on google and they are beautiful....
Do they have a more common name? Just wondering as I cant even prenounce that :)

your best off sticking to latin names as some LFS's confuse species by using common names

apistogramma agassizzi
apistogramma boreli
apistogramma trifasciata
apistogramma panduro

You might see them going under the name of

Cockatoo Apisto
Cockatoo Dwarf Cichlid
Double-Red
Triple-red

As mentioned, you're best going off the latin names.
