thanks guys for the help , i can tell you that its a hexigen shaped and its plastic and it cost £14.99

You would have been better gettig a little glass tank from a chain or something. You can get ones with plastic lids for that (just have a lamp beside it as a light) and they can have a filter and a heater.

Sounds like the tank my neighbour baught an tried to set up with 2 medium size goldfish the lfs told her it was pleanty bigenough,4 days later she had 2 sick stressed fish with ich.I told her to return the fish and take the tank back an tell them it was no use for the fish they had sold her.

in my opinion, a betta can live in there, happily, as long as the water temperature stays constant and at 73-75F.

My betta lived in a 1 gallon for over two years. and he was very active. Now i have one in a 2 gallon and one in a 2.5 gallon, and they are fine. As long as you do regular water changes, it is quit possible for your betta to thrive.
