hi there! I'm new to this forum and extremely impressed with the plecos in this post! Some amazing photos there.

I recently lost my inherited 12" Sailfin pleco. I'd had her for 7 yrs and was gutted to lose her. With a build up of algae in the aquarium I wanted to try something a little smaller than the sailfin. I was advised to go for Clown plecos. Not having much luck with these eating the algae,- and have now read that they're not great algae eaters! Apparantly I should have gone for bristlenoses!

Currently:

4 x Clown Plecos (3 look the same and the 4th is a different colouring. Don't know enough about them to
to know what's what I'm afraid)

1 x Port Hoplo

1 x Flag tail catfish

Now I am looking to get 2 x bristlenoses. I am really keen on getting the long fin variety after seeing Seanie's fantastic looking ones!

EDITED TO ADD: I have located some long fin bristlenoses within driving distance of me and so am off to select a couple on Thursday eve. The breeders have loads of them, ranging in size, so I should come away a very happy customer!

forgot to add

this is just one lot of eggs laid by a first timer female

the other lot was only 35 eggs laid

my another first timer the main female who normaly breeds with male not breed this time but she fat bigger then normal so when so breeds again ill have more eggs she normaly lay 100 -150 eggs

i am thinking abt selling 2 of the 5x trios i have my trio's breeding bristlenose

to make way for new breeding project if so these will be going on ebay starting price 99p and will post

At what age can you tell if the fry is albino? i mine are a week free swimming now and most are fairly dark, both parents are commons but i have 6 or 7 that are fairly light in colour. Are these likely to be albinos?

from the start really as when they start eat the egg sack u will see some are white ish in color and the other ones are darker that means the white ones are albino

as u can see in pic below
