My Breeding Group Of L182 Bristlenose Any Tips

so far i have added 80 ltrs of ro water to the tank and the ph is still on 7.5 to 8.0
so at the moment ph has not droped i have half a tank left to full of ro water

just done another test after i have added 25ltrs of ro water and the ph is now between 6.0 and 6.5
i have another 80ltrs or so to be added to the tank

If they've alredy spawned then water quality isn't the issue...the r/o unit is your choice but it's a waste of time and money imo. Susankat hit the nail on the head when she said 'Sounds like the male just hasn't learned yet.'...patience on your part is all that's required.

The only things I would change are the layout of the tank and the lighting levels.

but they not spawned now for the last 3mths or so plus the eggs comes dieing so this is why have have done wot i have

at the moment test done this morning
the ph in corner tank is at 6.5 to 7.0 and the holding tank where the L182 bns are the ph is at 7.0 to 7.5
have added to the tank a anglefish

another update today tank all fulled up with water and ro water i think it worked out around 70%ro water and 30% tank water

heres couple pics of the tank theres two angles in there

let us know wot you think of the pics

For starters mate your L182's are not blackwater fishes the L183's are as smithrc said raise the temp as for fish to go in tank i would have a small group of corries something on the lines of panda and have some nice shoaling fish ie tetras

Your caves dont look very deep i know ancistrus are very choosy on what they breed in i would recomend that you get a cave 6in long and 2in wide and 1.5 high

try moving caves further back and provide cover in front of the caves

any more questions ask

that all depends m8 just reading through your thread and it seems like alot cant be sold as breeders in this case a male and female pair(unproven breeders) i would say around £30 - £40........ a pair (proven breeders) top max price £80 but personally wouldnt pay much more than £50 - £60 but as stated these have never actually raised fry so they are as good as selling as unproven so u will get unproven price for them ....not sure exactly how many or if all ur selling so quite hard 2 give a price for all :)
