What Are You Cooking?

I'll be the judge of how healthy it is. Send me over a slice! :D
Looks delicious, how long did it take you?

I had vegemite toast for the last time this morning. If there's one thing I hate about going overseas, it'd have to be the lack of good yeast extract spread. :-( oh well, when I return it'll just be all the more special. ;)

TT - if you take into account baking time, then cooling to ice it, I started at 11-30 and finished at 2-30. Took 45 mins to bake, the only pain in the arse was grating the carrot!
Ha ha, I keep forgetting that filter on the non swear word that changes it to something completely random :/

I didn't cook it tonight but I was being lazy and enjoying left overs :p

But I cooked an epic Broccoli and Stilton soup! I don't even like stilton lol, but when its in a soup, you can ignore the fact that it is rancid, gone off, mouldy cheese and enjoy the mild flavour. The 'Veg Man' just outside my work had loads of broccoli, he gave me about 6 heads of late broccoli to get rid of lol and so on way home I bought a block of stilton. Was timed nicely as I had a load of chicken stock in the fridge from the day before... so... Nom!!

Just cooked down some onions, then added broccoli and a little potato and cooked that down in olive oil for a bit, then added chicken stock (which was extra yummy as I added lemon thyme to the stock when making it!) and after simmering for 20 minutes, I added the cheese and simmered for 5 minutes and then blended. Easy peasy and very yummy!

Though admittedly... fairly offensive smell when reheating it ;)

A vegetable biryani (excuse spelling) with a gaaarrrrlllic naan.

Sorry, don't get too close :D. Ooh topped off with a shandy :D

Am now waiting for hubby to make me a milky ovaltine..........

Not cooking anything right now  as am in office..:p but yeah planned to make pasta with Thai sauce for my dinner...So, will cook it after reaching home..:)

i will be making homemade spicy chilli in about an hour consisting of,

brown beans
kidney beans
2lbs of hamburger
a full jar of jalapenos
a full jar of banana peppers
home made tomato sauce 3-4 cups
home made hot sauce  2-3 cups

the spices that go into it are usually different all the time so once i get it going I may let ya know what I decided on using :)

We had spaghetti and meatballs with a ceaser salad. There's nothing quite like quick and easy comfort food to take a long day and turn it into a very nice evening. I just wish we would have had wine on hand.

My first attempt at homemade smoked mackerel pate.  I misread the instructions and added the zest of one whole lemon instead of 1 tbsp.  It was, err... tangy.

 DaizeUK...

When my wife and I were first married... she mistakenly used baking soda in a biscuit recipe, in place of baking powder.  Another time she used salt in place of sugar.  She's MUCH better now and made a great 'breakfast' dinner this evening.  Baked oatmeal with toasted pecans and apples, scrapple (Pennsylvania Dutch thing, great but very local), potatoes O'brien and banana bread.  Yup carbo-loading.
