I dont know. I think all fish are beautiful and attractive in a different way. My corys are beautiful, but so are my tetras because of their colour. Steve and Khan and my girly bettas are beautiful because of their colour and body shape, yet my glassfish are beautiful because of their unusual bodies. I can find even the dullest fish attractive in some way or another. I just love all fish. They're just so incredibly graceful and fascinating.

cichlids of all types! and puffers are attractive...personality wise that is...i had a spotted that would sit at the end of the tank closest to my bed...and when i got up hed start doing flips and stuff

Personally I think blue rams (if they have good colouring) are stunning and very unique, I also think betta's are pretty and also mbuna (sp?) species.

I think bettas are some of the most beautiful b/c of all of the different colors they can come in and their gorgeous long flowing tails. Plus I just love their grumpy faces.

I also think guppies are very lovely and they also have very cute faces as well nm the great colors and patterns you can get them in.

For me its got to be marine fish, as I think they are the most unique and beautiful to look at. Tangs, Triggerfish or Wrasse catch my eye the most, especially the Regal Tang & Clown Triggerfish, but there are so many different fish I think are stunning, I just really couldn't choose. The most beautiful fish I've owned so far would be the male Clown Killifish in my avatar

I like gobies. Gobies and those fish that are kinda like them. Names gone from my head. But they are fascinating.

So i suppose so far i'm mostly a catfish, livebearer, koi and natural shape goldfish person.

I'm a betta fanatic, and think any and all bettas are beautiful!! Besides bettas I have to say I'm a HUGE fan of blue paradise gouramis and red tiger oscars. And I have a thing for almost all viejas.

Interesting to read through the responses... I like hearing why people like a particular fish, especially ones that I am not that fond of. It shows our diversity in the hobby.
I'm surprised that no one has yet mentioned rainbowfish. There are so many beautiful species of rainbowfish. I have a couple of large adult Bosemani and their colours are amazing. Generally they are active but not agressive.
I also love my flagtail prochilodus with his shiny silver body, large eyes and brightly coloured striped tail and fins. He has a very interesting personality and is quite personable.

for personality reasons i would choose oscars! they hand feed and are very intelligent great fish
