What are doing for New Year Eve

I am doing nothing. This is my 76th new year's eve. What I discovered many decades ago was how the build up to new years eve celebrations was always greater than anything I did party-wise. The most interesting NYE was the one I spent in Panama City, Panama. They had a very old 5 story hotel build of wood. Every floor had a different party going on and there were so many folks packed into the place and music everywhere and the people were dancing.

The entire building was shaking and you could feel it. I was amazed that the whole thing did not collapse. From what I remember I had a pretty good time that night.

I never watch the ball drop and would rather spend NYE in jail than in Times Square in NY. These are the rules for attending tonight's party in NYC:
Here's the list of items not permitted Tuesday night:
  • Backpacks
  • Large bags
  • Umbrellas
  • Lawn chairs or other folding chairs
  • Picnic blankets
  • Large coolers
  • Alcohol
It is supposed to rain and they are expecting million people to attend. The city has it set-up so one can only enter the area through a limited number of places where you get checked to make sure you do not hae anything on the list. So I guess since marijuana is now legal in NY and you cannot bring in alcohol there should be a smoke cloud hanging over that area of the city tonight.

My fish are having a new years eve party and they did not invite me. They just requested that I pour some booze into the tanks starting at about 9 tonight and that I replenish it every hour until 3 pm. I am also supposed to leave the tank lights on until then as well.

Happy New Year All
