What Am I?

Just so as you know, if your girlfriend suddenly becomes spontaneously pregnant she is NOT included in the Livebearers that can perform the above, so you better start asking questions :D :D

Haha, well at least we're not on the topic of seahorses, she says if I want any kids I'm the one that's getting pregnant

By the way I want some female guppies, none of my locals have any they only have males, I still have to try another one. Do pets at home order in for one person? I dunno if they do 'cos I've never needed anything obscure.

It came with a few danios but I've had it for a few months and it hasn't given me any distinctive features.

Any guesses? almost looks like a guppy without any marks.

Where abouts are you? It doesn't say on your profile. You could check the Buy,Swap,Sell topic, or perhaps someone will pipe up here, but not unless they know where you are :p
Sorry, I don't know about P@H

Damn I thought I'd changed that this morning! My locale is North Yorkshire, I can't believe how difficult it is to find female guppies!

Well I've put her in a 10 gallon with the molly and it's fry.
Will have to remember to put a stocking over the filter.

Took a good look at her and nothing yet. No babies. Will keep a close eye on her though. Wonder what the babies will look like.

If you can get to Pet City in Leeds city centre (near the market) they always have Guppies (males and females in separate tanks). IIRC, Mick gets them from local breeders, so they're healthier and stronger than you'll find in a lot of shops.

If you can get a good look at her back end, the gravid spot will start to get squarer the closer she is to dropping.

Thanks. I want to try to save all the fry I can to help them survive, but don't want to stress her too much.

wonder how much longer it will be. Now looking at her, the dark place on her is really dark and almost redish.

If you could post a side profile of her, we would be better able to tell you roughly how long she has left....

Will try tonight. She moves pretty quickly. I was supprised at the shot I got of her.

Is that pic not a side profile? Did you mean from the back or top to see how her stomach goes out?

LOL, I guess it is a side profile. If you could get a more straight on side profile (rather than from above) so that you can see the contour of the abdomen it would be great. Like this:

Gotcha. Will try. That pic was the clearest of about 6 I took. But now that she's in the 10 gallon I might be able to get a clearer pic.

ok after 10 minutes and about 20 shots this is the ONLY clear picture. Hope it's ok.
I've also got a video b/c she doesn't like to stay still, so hopefully one of these will help.

I should get a little pleco for in there...

I'd say she probably still has roughly a week to 10 days to go...could be sooner if this is her first drop. She does look fairly young...

could be a goldfish in disguise attempting to escape his fate as a feeder! LOL kidding that is definatly a pregnant guppy. Good call by whoever called it first
