If he is a guy he can raise venus fly traps in there :D
I've been dying to do that actually. I was always a little concerned about my cats and the plants though.

Buy a little Oscar and puthim in there with a redtail and a common plec! A nice clown fish would work with them aswell.
*sarcastic* :| ha.....ha
very funny :sly:
your so clever

I actually have one of those "betta hex" tanks that can be
"divided" and I use it for all of the different food containers
that I have. It keeps them all in one place and I can carry
it around to my tanks. You're tank sounds like its a similiar
size so you could also use it for food, medicines, extra filters
or whatever :D

My rabbit ate some sundew (carnivorous plants) with no ill effects (except I was a little upset that he ate my plant!)

stan~ that size is really useless, they're good for holding crickets :dunno: Just stick it under your tank, you may find a use for it someday.

a third of a gallon? ack! I know which pets aren't picky about size,
PET ROCKS :D or a worm farm :p or ant colony lol I think the cave idea was really kewl!
