hi

i have lots of guppies fry

some are 6 months old & some 1 day old

so what age is the right age to sell ?

how much would buy guppies for ?

thanks :good:

I'm not exactly sure when to sell them, but it's pretty much whenever they're a respectable size (At least maturity), so wouldn't that be around 6-8 months? Don't quote me, I haven't bread, nor have I sold.

As for the price, I do know that you'll only get what the store is willing to pay, which would also be based on their maturity. You might start getting more for the fish if you gain some respect from whoever your selling to (Making a name for yourself, so to speak), since then they'd at least know a bit about what they were buying. Still, if you compare how much the store sells them for, I wouldn't expect all that much for them, not that you can't still see of course

I'm not sure (never sold my fish before) but I heard that when you sell your guppies, don't be expecting more than cents.

Ask the LFS what size they'll take them at. That's the easiest way, stores are different.

And yeah, you won't get more then pennies, if even that.

the store i was going to try
ive seen a few week old guppies there :X
i think its any age

i was going to try & sell them through the net on here
how much would you sell them on here for ?

Well, ask them, and if they do indeed take them at any age, I'd wait until about 3 months or so. They'll have a little color, and you'll be able to sex them.

On here? Free, maybe a trio for a couple bucks. Not much.

yea ill ask when i go tomz

for a couple bucks = for a couple pounds ????

thanks

Well, however many pounds equal $1-3. What do the Guppies look like? Are they a fancy finnage type?

the males are fancy the felmales are normal borring tails

Okay, so just normal Fancy Guppies. Then yeah, I'd stick with my original prices. Or you could put up a higher price and say 'or best offer' and see what you get. Pictures of the fish are usually appreciated. :)

Edit ~ I was talking about selling on here, or other websites, for the record. The fish store will most likely just give you a set price.
