Went to Betta show and got exotics!

This is my first experience with some of these Bettas...like copper and Crater, but they are so gorgeous they put my Veiltails to shame! lol They REALLY put a dent in my wallet! I find Blood Rune to be a real snot ball. He bites too! I think he thinks he is an oscar....He's got a real fighter's spirit.

Here's the story:

I went to the show a couple days ago looking for some new crowntails to decorate my already over-stuffed apartment with and I came across a guy getting ready to fight Bettas for a few friends before a tournament. Blood Rune was his choice...I had never seen a Betta of these colors before! And my fave too! ( Black and red are my fave colors) I stepped up and asked if the Betta was for sale before he fight and he said no..Well I couldn't bare the thought of that gorgeous Betta being torn to shreds by another so I offered him a firm 50 bucks for him...He took it and the betta never fought! THere were a lot of halfmoons to choose from, yet the true cambodian red caught my eye. He's actually one of the smaller Bettas like the delta tail (Copper), but I loved him anyways. Halfmoons are hard to find....so are double tails.....And Crater is not a piece of poo...

Anyways, they each get new 2.5 gallon rectangle planted tanks to swim in and enjoy...So I hope they are happy and I hope my veiltails aren't too jealous!

those are gorgeous betta's..... I wanted a veiltail or a crowntail but couldn't find any on my LFS.....Does anybody know where to get these exotic betta's in toronto??? I wouldn't mind dishing $50 bucks for one......

Blood Rune is by far my favourite in looks however they are all pretty much equally as gorgeous. I love the snotty ones that seem to be mad all the time, I have one myself and he really has one hell of a personality.... He has a great hatred for a tiny plastic kinder surprise airplane we have. I thought they were only supposed to get that mad about other male bettas but not him he hates everything.. Anyhow...congrats on your fantastic finds!
