Anyone ever have anything like this happen? I am cycling a 20g SW with amonia. On October 1st the ammonia droped to zero. ( once ammonia went to zero I added 1/2 teaspoon 3 times a week) The nitrites rose and have been between 1 and 2 since then. Today I checked the nitrates and they were 80! the nitrites are 2 and the ammonia .25. (just added some yesterday) I have to assume that nitrites are being converted to nitrates because the nitrates were originaly zero. Thanks; Don T.
