weather loaches

I have a coldwater tank currently housing 2 goldfish. I would like to add 1 or 2 weather loaches. Are they like goldfish in that they produce a lot of waste?

How big is the current tank? That's a better way to work out whether or not there is enough space for them.

It's 24 x 12 x 18 inches.

Personally i dont think you have enough room for any loaches as they require lots of swimming space.
