Water From The Hot Tap Ok?

i started off boiling the kettle which is a pain with a small kettle. but he last couple of times i have used hot tap. i have a combi boiler so no water sitting in a tank for a long period of time

Well I'm not sure where they all are but usually people come out of the woodwork and say they will not use their house hot water but will heat their water with a kettle...

That's what i do at the moment or i heat up some water on the stove. Some interesting thoughts on this, i might risk it from the hot tap next time i do a small water change, hopefully all will be good.

If you have a combi boiler then absolutely no problem basically your hot water is straight from mains pressure if you have immersion then don't risk it.

Thought I would add to my first post. We have a gas heated hot water tank. According to my dad the tank that holds the water isn't even copper. Only our pipes are. I don't really get the boil water on the stove. I mean almost all our pots are teflon coated, personally I would only boil water for my tank if I had a stainless steel pot. Still I think using the hot tap is perfectly fine for fish, I've never had any problems.
