Just wondering what's best to do,
I'm pretty sure alot of people (including myself) add the water conditioner to there tap water just before it goes into the tank but does the water conditioner actually work that fast? for smaller water changes i guess it wouldn't be a problem (correct me if i'm wrong though).
If i was to do a big water change (40-50%) would it be best to add the water conditioner say a day before into some big 25L drums with the tap water,
then it'll have chance to neutralise harmful chlorine, chloramines, and dissolved metals?
Of course the pH of the water in the drum is going to raise too if it's sitting there for so long? what's not bad if your tank has a higher pH anyway?
Or does it work fast enough that there's not much difference?
Thanks for filling my head with more knowledge once again
P.s the conditioner is NUTRAFIN AQUA PLUS..
Feel free to throw forward any better brands but for this water change that will be used.
