water change temperature

When you say "Right Temperature", are you trying to bring it to the exact same temp?

FWIW, I don't bother matching my water to the temp of the tank, as long as it stays above 70F, I'm happy. If it goes too low, I'll boil some water in the kettle and add it to a bucket of water before adding it to the tank

I use a kettle to, i pour cold water into a jug and add boiled water to it and use a thermometer to see if its the right temp
Hope that helps ya ;)

Tap water, same temp. I also use the thermometer that is in the tank that I am working on to check the temp, in cast there is any variation between thermometers.

Hi chunmak :)

I use tap water with dechlorinator. IMHO it's best to match the temperature of the new water to the tank temperature within about 2 degrees. Why take chances with anything that you have the power to control?

Just take your time and get the tap water to match the feel of the tank water to your hand. Then fill the container you will be using. Check the temperature with the thermometer and make adjustments by adding hot or cold water a little at a time.

With experience you will find that you get better at estimating the correct temperature coming out of the tap onto your hand and fewer adjustments will have to be made to get it to match.

I fill buckets of water from the electric shower :) It's easy to set the temp as it comes out so it feels pretty much like tank water and the shower head churns up the water and mixes in the dechlorinator :)
