I have two big plastic 40 litre (10g) drums which i use to syphon water into and then tip it down the toilet, i then fill the drums back up and pour the water back into the tank using the odd kettle full of boiling water to keep the temperature up during the winter months.

I just use the good ole' bucket.

A bucket and the syphon. Works extremly well. I have different size of syphons for different tasks . E.G bigger syphon for a big major water change or a small one to clean the bottom slower and better.

My house plants appreciate me using the bucket method. We will see how long it is untill I get a python (having a buddy work at a pet store will help the cost, so I may as well get it before he does something wrong and gets fired ).
