Wanted: Juwel Rio 125 Light Unit (i-bar) T8 Or T5

After being quoted ridiculous prices for a new light unit, I thought I'd try here. My T8 light unit has stopped working (which seems to be a VERY common problem) and I have been quoted as much as £120.00 for a new one with lamps, when in the same shop a similar sized aquarium, cabinet and all the extras was only £50.00 more!

So if anyone has upgraded from T8 to T5 and has a spare one lying around, I'd be happy to take it off your hands because I simply wont pay silly money for something that will probably end up breaking again anyway!

I cant help but i haggled for one in my local shop last week and got one for 80 pound and a 5 pound off voucher so in effect 75. I know exactly what you mean tho.

I wont pay silly money purely out of principle, it isn't long out of warranty and i know it's a very common problem. I was in one shop where they even had a rio 125 full setup with cabinet and lots of extras etc for £199, so why is the light unit alone so much?! My mate is selling a rio 125 as well for £100 so I'l probably end up buying that purely for the light unit then see if I can sell the rest of it, but it wont be easy with no light/lid. Hopefully one will pop up on ebay one day if nobody here can help!
