Hmm, not sure what to say here. What I find more annoying/frustrating is when you pass on advice and the OP disappears into thin air; I can live without a 'thanks', but I do think a lot about what they did about their problem. Did they follow the guidance given, or just plough on with what they were doing anyway?. It's not knowing that gets to me, particularly when 99% of the time it's the simplest advice that can solve or prevent any problem.

Good point, hadn't really thought of that but I have had that happen a couple of times.

I think what is especially odd is that a couple of times I've tried to help someone with their tank, then they seemingly disappear only to show up in a different section a couple of months later with an entirely different set up. Makes me wonder if it all went bad and they started over.

Iam with you, I loathe the lack of manners one encounters online.

Also the old book stuff made me laugh, I have some old books and they all say that fish grow 'into' the size of an auarium!

I just wanted to come on here and say THANK YOU!

It must be distressing and frustrating when you try to help and it is ignored. I have been here a little while now and this has to be one of the most helpful sites out there.

You have guided me with various species and mishaps, i am a beginner and usually need some explaining to as a basic knowledge. I try to make a point of saying thank you as I would in real life being brought up on manners, if I have ever forgotten please give me a big slap or leave me in a corner to punish myself with my own horror.

Thank you and please continue to give excellent advice to everyone who needs it.

(One vice I do have is this site has given me MTS and as of today have 6 tanks, 4 of which have been set up, there is no saving me now.)
