Still not 100% finished on the tank, Id like to change the sand to a black and change everything to wood and add plenty plants.

Next on the list will be new light setup, another external filter and CO2 system then ill move onto more plants sand & wood ect

how big do those lemons get? are they agro with your other fish? (i would have thought they might have a thing or two to say to the Angels...)

Cant see them getting any bigger tbh but who knows, There fine with the angels :

Those Lemon Fins will grow 10"+ i believe. The are Closely relaated to Tin Foils so I would expect same big boisterouis barb behavior.

Lemon barbs freaked me out! I thought they were Bala sharks with a yellow light shining on them in the first pic!!

Tank looks lovely!

Fish seem nice and happy too.

I'd prefer to see more plants in there, but thats just me, I love heavily planted aquaria.

FYI, the 2 plants you have in there look like non-aquatic plants (they can survive in the water for a few months but then they die and rot and may cause an Ammonia spike or something)

The bearer of bad news, them lemon barbs will grow absolutley huge mate, rehome now before you come unstuck, granted a beautiful species, however and a big however. ive been following threads of these beautys on another site, they grow very quick aswell..
Either Hypsibarbus wetmorei or Barbonymus gonionotus....they will leave you in trouble mate, sorry...

On a up note mate nice tank

Cheers guys!

Ive had the plants in the tank for months on end now with no problems! i did have more plants but the barbs love to eat them, Ive had the barbs over 6 month now and havent really seen a size change in them tbh.

My setups forsale anyway as im moving over to a marine setup.

Nice looking tank w8tson!
As said before, those lemon barbs are stunning! Shame about their eventual size

Thats a shame, your tank is actually pretty good.
Good luck in the dark side (marine):shout:
