Um..they lost color due to stress. The bags have pure oxygen introduced to them (the bags are very taunt..not floppy like the ones you get at the pet store) to keep the fish happy and oxygenated.
But the color wasn't the issue at hand here..it was the beat up condition of the finnage.
I've ordered a dozen fish so far and had them shipped (only have 1 fish that came from a LFS the rest are breeder fish)...last time I had some that had a few broken rays...but this..this was just ridiculous.
Gam's wasn't so bad...he had a pretty good size split to his dorsal, and his lower (he's a DT) tail was banged up pretty bad...his are already looking better.
Jae is the one that it's going to take a while to recover...all of his fins took a heck of a beating..he looks like a little raggamuffin, all tattered up. Bless his little heart.
