Yeah one last thing before this thread closes, If you already had a mbu puffer, and you looked after him well and the arowna. Then where is the BIG tank you kept them in?!?!, if you say you are going to get a big tank (which is what everyone says btw) what stopped you getting one for the other Mbu Puffer and Arowna. Sorry if im seeming thorough but Mbu puffer is my favourite fish, and if they could be kept in a 6x2x2 then trust me I would definatley have one...

I'm guessing it's so that people that newly join this thread don't look back at the previous comments and text to which they could use to question motives and knowledge. "Wiping the slate clean", or "running away", call it what you want

Either way, I'm staying neutral.

Of course, I hope the mbu gets better.

hi...i can't remember how i done it...my living is on a pc...yet i cant work this forum out...Harry my last mbu...i rescued him from a 3ft tank that was in a terrible state..yes riley is ill due to ammonia...but i do look after my tank and fish...i do water checks...how many mbus do you know that have oyster for dinner...so im sorry but i dont think i am selfish....i have made mistakes...my tank is on ebay...i will be keeping just riley ( if he pulls through) i want to start a new post as if people read this one they will just think this is one big joke....

Phoenixbaby sorry if this has come across a bit rude...realy was not meant to be...but all i get is about the size of the tank...i have said so many times that i am changing things...my concern now is riley and theres nothing i can do to change the mistakes i have made...again sorry sharon

You say you look after your fish, that you check the water stats, yet you have agreed ur Mbu is ill due to ammonia poisoning, complete contradiction or what!!

That is NOT looking after your fish, im sorry but thats total crap

Just because you feed him oyster for dinner doesnt mean he is well looked after

If you truly looked after ur fish and checked ur water, then you would have noticed the massive ammonia spike and done something about it

And as ace said, wheres the big tank ur other Mbu harry used to live in then?

the tank harry used to live in has been long gone...was sold when harry went to the sea life centre...then i did not get a tank for at least 2 years...then saw this little mbu in a shop in poor conditions...so bought a tank for him...

Well you should of left it there, because he is obviously not doing any better in your tank.

But you knew how big he was going to get, so why cram him in a small tank?

They need stupidly big tanks, like 12ft by 4ft by 3ft as ace has just been telling me

if you go to my very first post there is a pic of my tank.....i think its a nice clean tank...ok to small like i have been told over and over again...but a nice home for the fish.....and i cant keep saying it but i am getting a bigger tank for riley...am selling this tank and fish....why does every one think that i am some sort of scam...i have seen new people come on here and get help...i will do all i can for riley...but to be honest i dont think he should be left like this much longer...I HAVE MADE A MISTAKE and i have admitted this...but why still all the neg feedback...

i do not contradict myself...i do look after my tank...we had a 4 hour power cut...thats why i think my filter failed....thats the only reason i can think that the ammonia shot up like it did...

not for 4hours to affect him the way it has

just because ur water is nice and clear does not mean the water is clean

Any ammonia in the tank is dangerous for a fish' health

You clearly do not monitor the water, no way in 4hours would the ammonia have shot up that much to make him that ill

No just trying to understand why he has got as ill as he has, he would not have suddenly gone like this, its obviouslu been subjected to him over a matter of days, even weeks

it was within 1 week...the ammonia would hit a mbu hard.....he has been gased and poisened...so would be very ill

forgot to say...all the other fish are fine....eating well no sign of ill health at all...so i got the tank sorted quick enough for it not to effect the other fish...just riley has sufford through this

riley was fine...then just went on his side...thats how i knew somthing was wrong...he was eating fine that morning...i dont have any answers...just how it was
