Very Cheap Glass Tanks Spotted

I have that exact same tank from a different shop. Though I would rather take a hammer to it than imprison a betta in it, nowhere near big enough . I have plans to turn mine into a steampunk shrimp tank. It'll need a complete casemod fitting to the exterior ( I need airpressure gauges!! ) but should be pretty good when done.

I do rather like the quirky shape of the sponge filter, and to get the pump and filter both with the tank is a very good deal indeed. I chucked the hideous plastic plant and vile looking food though >.<

Well Each to their own opinion I guess.

Yeah the sponge filter is working very nicely, and i do like the shape of it. Did not even open the packet of food just binned it.

Wow. Looks like a great tank. I don't live in the UK, though. If I were setting up a 3 gallon, here is what I would be expecting to pay.

<$10 For hood. I'd go DIY and paint or stain it.
$5 for light socket
$7 Filter
$10 Plants/sand/decorations
$15 for tank (Craigslist/LFS/Local Aquarium Club)

So yeah, and after taxes it would be around $50. I sure do think you found a deal there!
Oh wow, here where I live in Canada, you'd be expecting to pay minimum 80$ for a 3 gallon kit, that is, if it's completely brand new. Lucky for me, I found a 39 and 10 gallon that came with everything for only 100$. :)

Well that is making the hood and lighting DIY, and probally a used tank. But yeah, I can find some great deals around here. I guess you could say that I know a few people who know a lot of people. Haha.

That's a really nice little tank :) but can you imagine how many people will be sticking goldfish in those :(

Yeah, that is the bad side to it.
I wanted this as it fits perfectly on the shelf above the PC.

If B&Q did sell something similar, i'd be down there in a jiffy... need something to keep my river/feeder shrimp in for my puff. I know my plans for tomo now lol
