UV lighting is it good for plants and fish

Nooooooooo. if you do that you could blind yourselfn and your fish. you should never look directly at a u.v bulb. plants only need a small amount and normal plant bulbs would provide it. If you want god pland growth, then you could try mercury vapour lamps. these are meant to be very good for plants.

ste :)

As ste2k3 said NO. Uv lights are only used in the fish industry in external filters, mainly for ponds, they help to remove algae particles from the water. These lights are always covered by the filter box, so they are safe.
