Urgent Help Please. Angelfish Have Spawned!

I have no idea how or whythis has happened but it just has.

I have a 125l planted community tank with angelfish, harlequin rasboras, cardinal tetras, rummynose tetras and corys. (show in my sig)

Now, the angelfish have been in there since they were smaller than a 50p so all other fish have always been bigger, and its always been extremely pleasant, now, in these last 2 hours, my angles have spawned and are defending the leaf they spawned on extremely carefully.

The problem is, I go on holiday for 2 weeks on friday morning (03:00) so I havent got any idea what to do. This has happened accidently and I havent got any other tanks that can support my current stock if i were to remove it.

Help appreciated lol

But seriously, I take it that you don't want the other fish to be hurt/killed by the spawning angels. This is a chance in a tank size but its up to you to evaluate whether the option I'm going to suggest is worth it. Of course the angel fish may not harm the other fish, but like I said, its a risk you youself have to judge.

I'm going to suggest something that probably wont be popular but you may deem it the best course of action. Crush/remove the eggs. The angel fish won't have anything to guard then, but theres no guarantee they wont spawn again before you return. You have 7 hours ish to decide so hopefully others will chip in, probably with less drastic solutions.

I was thinking of removing them originally, purely because I havent got anything that I can feed fry with, and Im not going to be here

If you don't want to keep fry buy a couple bristlenose plecos and they'll clean up the eggs in 24 hours

The parents, if like my Honduran Red Point cichlid parents, will prepare their normal food for the fry when required i.e. chew and spit

If you have someone who will be feeding your fish sensibly then in theory the rest is up to the parents and all should be okay on your return (as far as the new family is concerned anyway)

Personally, in your situation I'd just get rid of the eggs. They may get eaten anyway, but I'd make sure they were not there over my holiday by removing them.
As has ben mentioned, the happy couple may well spawn again before you return, but thats just a chance you'll have to take.
