Update On Abused Bettas

that one does look female....for now. young males often display stress stripes to show submission to strong females and other males.

got any better pics, i cant see!, number 1 is a blur, number 2 is a blur, number 3 is a blur, number 4 is a blur, number 5 is a blur, number 6 is a blur, number 7 is a blur, number 8 is a blur

Nothing like stating the obvious, a bit sarcastic though!

Its already been said that they cant be sexed by those pictures.

Although the last picture does appear female, i wouldn't say one way or the other as i cannot be definate.

well go ahead feed them well and see who gets eggy then. also try getting picks of them while they are eating, perhaps they will hold still a little longer.

-it got annoyed, the flowers in the backround are more in focus! i suck at photography!

Michi-

Viva-

-head is more pointed?

I think maybe you are too close and that is why your pics are so blurry. Try backing up some and taking some pictures.

Just a thought.

I agree! I know when I try to take pictures of my betta, they're fine, and come out clear if I move the camera in, but if I even nudge the zoom button at all, instant blurification. So if you're using the zoom, try it without zooming, and if you're not, try backing away a little. :) Your betta's look gorgeous...albeit blurry. :p

Hotaka looks male to me, a ripped up abused starved male but male, but oh my look at those vents. I would be suprised if he was female.

just went and looked at all the pics. I am 99% sure they are ALL male, beat up and starved but male. I think when the fins grow back and heal you will be able to see them all very clearly as male.

sora is the most femine of them all but if these bettas were used for fighting its likely its male as well.
