how many people are actually going? does anybody know?

Yeah but it takes roughly 238 hours to get to London on the coach.

That long? Englands a TINY country, how could it possibly take that long?
They go stupidly 'round the houses' stopping at everywhere on the way.

Just looking, takes at least 7 hours each way and the 'fun fares' mentioned above are only available on certain journeys (£3 at the moment).

Travelling for 14+ hours doesn't leave much time for actually doing anything. :/ That was always the problem, not cost.
If cost is not a problem for you CS then you could fly down from Newcastle to London city or stanstead :D

I am still a student and I still have money problems like everyone else but I could afford a train or coach fare but it's not worth it. Spend the whole day travelling and then not be there for very long. Couldn't afford to stay somewhere.

Tours
Escorted tours are available covering a wide variety of subjects. Each tour is escorted by an aquatic expert and covers areas of the aquarium relevant to their subject. Where appropriate tours are relevant to the National Curriculum. For details of tours that are available please click here:

Ages 3-14
Ages 15 to Adult
All tours must be booked in advance, by phoning 020 7967 8007. Tours are available 7 days a week (but please note times may be restricted during busy periods.) There is a standard minimum of 10 per group, maximum number of 30. However, groups of smaller size can sometimes be accommodated in certain periods - please phone 020 7967 8007. If your group is larger than 30 we can simply divide it into several smaller ones.

If more than 10 are going we need to phone for a tour week before, but due to bank holiday weekend the sooner the better IMO

Unfortunately, i'll be at Reading Rock Festival that weekend which is a shame because I've not been to the London Aquarium yet (I bet it will be a much cleaner experience than Reading lol)

Any hoo, if anyone else is at the festival and wants to have a mini-meeting that'll be cool.

I've just noticed that this is during the 'peak time' ie; school holidays so the costs are:

Adult £9.75
Children 3-14 £6.25
Students 15- 18 £7.50
OAP £7.50

I've just been given my rota for August

I only work one saturday a month and guess which one they've picked me to do
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yep, Saturday 28th August

I'll try to swop it but there's about as much chance of that as there is of me finding a big, steaming pile of rocking horse s**t!

I may be working that weekend, but I'd love to come if I can. I've never been to the London Aquarium so I'd like to see it.
I did offer people lifts, but since I only live a 2 minute walk from a train station that will take me directly to Marylebone in less than an hour, I'm probably not going to drive!!! Sorry!!
Hope to see you all there!

Aww... I'd really like to come, but I'm probably going to be working (time and a half on bank holiday weekends!).

I'm also not keen on how packed it's likely to be - full of screaming kids demanding "WHERE'S NEMO??"
