UK MEETING IS ON!

Hey I probably won't be working that day and I'll try and get a train up there, dunno if my bf will want to come but I'll try and convince him ;) He's a member of the forums so I don't see why he shouldn't!

Shudda gone for the midlands for the meeting! Would habe been fairer on everyone.
Lets not get into that again.

At the end of the day the majority of people who said that would attend lived down south.

If u want one in the midlands too then go ahead and organise another.

If people were posisitve rather than complained and made an effort there wouldnt be a problem!

I am well up for coming down, possibly even with my mate as long as I have the day off work. Yes it would be effort to drive but I will probably get the train.

I ask you to spend 7-8 hours on a coach each way getting there and then say that.

I agree with Jae, the midlands would have been fairer. Instead of some having to travel lots, everyone would have had to travel a little. It would be out of the question for people from somewhere like Glasgow to go at all, Newcastle is hard enough for me.

I understand that we can arrange another meeting but to be honest I don't want to, I wanted everyone to meet. Not some North vs. South thing.

I think if the people from down South had of been bothered about more people being able to go they would have made in more central rather than where the majority are from (especially as London has a massive population and it's always going to have the majority - population is bigger than the whole of Scotland!).

Sour grapes? Probably, but with good reason IMO.

Edit: I know this post will not achieve anything in terms of the forthcoming meeting, but I hope that its sentiments will be bore in mind for next time. :)

Totally aggree CS the midlands would've been fairer , however It was decided by the majority to go to london.

If I arrange one for next year or even for Chistmas I will just say where and when it may even be in Edinburgh! Those that can't come to that or the next or the one after that then all I can say is sorry.

I hope that you will take the time to view the pictures we post and don't feel too left out.

So where in the Midlands would you propose we meet? I am up for anything but the thing is we have to make a decision and some sort of compromise might be able to be reached if everyone co-operates.

This meeting cannot be changed now, that would be unfair. I am just asking for it to be remembered for next time, rather than for us to have seperate meets.

Er...why does it have to be a Public Aquarium? Although, I think there is one in Chester. I am just looking online now.

:)

Edit: There is a Blue Planet Aquarium in Chester. How's that for location? I don't know much abot these things. I will keep looking so we have a plan for next time.

I thought we were looking at a seperate meeting. It's not a North South Divide at all, two events, people can attend both if they want to. I know I'd like to, depending upon finances and dates etc.

I'm not saying it does have to be at a public aquarium! It was only a thought.

I don't think we should have a seperate meeting.

I think if we do that's how it will always be, a meet for the North and one for the South. I think that this meet should go as planned and then when the time comes for the next one we choose where is more fair for everyone rather than what the majority want (because that will always mean the South as per described earlier).

im not one whos bothered about traveling as long as iv got the funds

iv got the funds but no way would u get me down to london.... EVER

i hated the place the last time i went, it was for a dance night at bagleys i had to go through central london, and honestly i cant see why ppl hype it up.

iv been scotland also on a dance night session... even though it was a treck it was a better sight than londump

So how about we think of a Christmas meal?

Might be a mare co-ordinating funds in advance though. I dont mind doing it.

That would be good! As long as it's not KFC :grr:

I really wanted to come to this one but it's just not possible. I will be happy if we can have a meet somewhere that we can all get to without too much hassle.

:)

We might have to go a little further south than Manchester if we are to convince the Southerners to come, it's not just London obviously there's the South coast too.

I'll start thinking about it in September and we'll take it from there.

Sound good?
