Oh dear they are coming over on Sunday and I didnt mention the new many hundred pounds purchase in the space of two months from making the last several hundred pound purchase.

Sure its my own home etc, but if you have parents like mine who still think you are a little boy , im going to get no end of ear bashing :/

They dont mind them, but i think they will have more issue over the money ive spent and how i should be saving etc etc.

Oh well, lol I am not sure i can do anything, but just try and get through it all. Not much fun at all.

Why not just er... not disclose exactly how much it all cost. I got a good deal etc etc.

I do that, but people think what I consider as a good deal loads. Some people...

:D

When in doubt, lie. :shifty:

Or do the simple thing and tell them to mind their own bloody business.

Wow, my parents are the same way, and it's not even like I moved out yesterday.

Well, when my dad rolls his eyes at my latest tank I say 'you're right. Think I'll go buy some heroin instead...

can put things into perspective :)

Just think how much you could have saved if they hadn't been coming to visit! None of their business what you do in your own place.

I told my parents to think of it as a piece of furniture. It added a nice finishing touch to my living room (55 gallon with a beautiful oak stand), they bought into the idea and now I can enjoy my fishies in peace.

Lol, i was thinking on those lines plus the 'it was on offer' thing. I am building up my defense thanks for all these ideas :)

this is when you can say "as long as you are under my roof, it's my way"

I am sure some of our parents have said something like that to us when we were little
