Thanks for the info everyone. I can't believe I have to deal w/this

We've still only seen 1 flea and thats it so maybe we're ok. I think we'll use that carpet powder that soaup linked for us and then dose the cat as well as the dog.

Having such a hairy dog, a cat, as well as 3 kids we vaccum every other day anyway. Our vaccum does have the hepa filter that colin mentioned earlier.

Hopefully we'll have a real good handle on it and it won't be bad

I wouldn't bug bomb. Just one time won't do it since eggs hatch for weeks afterward. Plus I would be leery if I had small kids since they like putting things in their mouth. You will also have to wash all pots pans and silverware afterwards. My hubby did it once and I was sick for a week. Try feeding your pet garlic or brewers yeast tablets once a week. Fleas hate the taste.
