I couldn't say, I have never taken mine apart like that, I guess cause it has never needed it. Does fluval have a tech email thing on their website?....

yes i emailed it but i i am ready to fill the tank now to start cycleing and was hopeing to do it today, but it'll be 3-5 days before reply so if anyone has a suggestion...
