i am regratably selling my true jaguar catfish (Liosomadoras Oncinus). these are very stunning fish that can be kept with pretty much any fish. they wont attack smaller fish like tetras and dont bother larger fish either. they are very slow growers but can max at about 10 inches i believe. mine is about 5-6 inches currently and very healthy.

these are very hard to source and dont turn up at lfs very often, i travelled 140 miles to get this fish  im looking to get back what i paid for it so £45 is the asking price.

im only selling it as ive too many cats in my tank and with a group of humbugs that are great fish its a shame to split them up, so the jags up for grabs. dont get this fish confused with the false jaguar catfish that sometimes appears as this is the real deal, the stunning jaguar patterned catfish. they are soft smooth skinned fish so its not a great idea to put it in with aggressive fish although its lived in my tanks with several big cichlids with no issues like sevs, oscar, green terror, texas, pike cichlid, diadema, flier cichlid, slavini.

it does require some kind of retreat like a cave or mass of wood etc to get away from it all now and then but as long as it has somewhere to go it will be happy.

i am located in leicesterahire and would prefer collection but may deliver within reason for fuel costs :good:

Sorry for posting but this is a bargain, a 4inch one was going for £75 in my local.

Any chance of a photo? I might be interested in this once my tank has finished cycling.

the only pic i have of it was when it was in the bag when i first bought it. its now a bit bigger in length and chunkier.

these pics are not of the actual fish im selling they are of another jaguar cat i had about 6 months ago. i sold this one as the 2 didnt get on very well and kept the better looking one. i think the one in the pics needed to go on a bit of a diet.....

you will get much better pics if you google the latin name :good:

this is a pic of the actual fish. or half of it anyway...... my photography isnt great, sorry
