i will deffinatly get a skimmer just to be sure. just didnt realise with a FOWLR i can actually add coral too it without having to change or buy anything else. ( without fish in it ) always good to know a upgrade isnt going to cost a arm and a leg and can be quickly done

The main differnce between FOLR and Reef is lighting

Fish dont require strong lights many Corals do

Also water conditions are not as crital for fish as they are for corals

If you keep hard corals you need excellent lighting and water and usually add calcium

People often keep FOLR if they want to keep fish that eat corals e.g. Butterfly fish

ah sweet thanks for the info. i think if i got coral it would be soft coral because i like how they flow

yup so i found out... i thought most hard coral was like a rock but i was mistaken
